LEEDS – An Introduction

LEEDS Group was first established as Career Chart Consultancy in 1997. The business then expanded to form Leeds HR Solutions in Singapore in the year 2005. Headquartered in Singapore, our branch offices are situated in India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi and Brunei, and the company is now one of Singapore’s leading recruitment consultancy organizations.

Leeds HR Solutions has honed its expertise for almost a decade in manpower training, recruitment, and manpower supply to industries such as Marine, Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing, Health Care & Services.

To ensure high standards of in-house training and testing of selected skilled candidates, Leeds Skill Training Centre was established in Chennai, India, spanning an area of 16,500 sq. ft. The Leeds Skill Development Centre was later started in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to enhance employee skills prior to deployment with client companies. Both centres are accredited by ITE Education Services, Singapore.

In 2015, Leeds expanded into a group of companies with the establishment of Leeds HR Consultancy LLC.

Selvakumar

Chairman & Managing Director, Leeds Group of Companies

Selvakumar is the founder and Chairman of the Leeds Group of Companies. He has more than 30 years of Experience working in MNCs in Singapore and UAE. In 2005, he decided to become an entrepreneur and started Leeds HR Solutions. He personally oversees the project execution and consulting for all of Leeds key clients together with his experienced team members from inception to successful completion. He holds an Industrial Engineering from PSB Singapore.

Ng Siak Heng

Sr. Consultant, Leeds Group of Companies

Ng Siak Heng is a Senior Consultant of the Group. He previously served as Senior Police Officer for more than 30 years in Singapore, a corporate leader of hundreds of professionals, and a community activist. His belief: “In moving people out of their hometowns, we must offer more than jobs, but an enriched life and an enduring wellness – for them and their families. We must walk this talk as our Mission”.

Ang Kian Guan

Executive Director, Leeds HR Solutions (B) Sdn Bhd (Brunei)

Ang Kian Guan, Brunei citizen, a Fellow Chartered of CILT, CEng, MIET with IET, armed with a CASS M.Sc. (Trade, Transportation and Finance). He is a recipient of SNB, SMB, PKJ and PKL from HM, The Sultan of Brunei; was an Assistant Police Commissioner and Director of Transportation. He was Chairman of IET Brunei Network, Vice Chair to IET Far East Network; and Founder of A.K.G Logistics and Transport Sdn Bhd and GoodLife Financial Planning Sdn Bhd (a fully compliant establishment). He leads Postgraduate Programs in Logistics with Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Certified in Islamic Financial Planning (IFPC) and Finance (ChFC).

S. K. Indumaathi

Director, Leeds Skill Training Centre Pvt Ltd (Chennai, India)

With over 20 years of experience in manpower development and training, S. K. Indumaathi is the Director at Leeds Skill Training Centre Pvt Ltd, Chennai. Armed with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, she combines strategic leadership and deep industry knowledge to deliver impactful training programs tailored to India’s evolving workforce needs. She has successfully driven several large-scale skill development initiatives across sectors, helping to create a highly skilled workforce ready to meet industry demands.

Thiyagarajan G

With 20 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition, Thiyagarajan serves as the General Manager at Leeds HR Solutions, Chennai. He received best Employee Award at Panasonic (National) in the year 1990. He was Senior Manager in Samsung Electronic Malaysia for 18 years Customer Service Quality and Production Stabilization. He holds a mini MBA in Samsung Singapore (2004) and represented Samsung as Product Quality Auditor to General Electric (USA).

Sohail Salam
